The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially launched the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program Phase-III, an incredible opportunity for Pakistani researchers and faculty members to pursue advanced research at some of the world’s top-ranked universities. Through this fellowship, HEC aims to enhance the quality of higher education, promote international collaborations, and build research capacity across Pakistan.
Over the next five years, 1,000 fellowships will be awarded purely on merit, offering Pakistani scholars the chance to refine their expertise and bring back knowledge that contributes to the academic and research ecosystem of the country.

Fellowship Benefits
The program provides comprehensive financial coverage so that scholars can focus entirely on their research work:

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a Pakistani or AJK national.
- Qualification: Hold a PhD degree from a HEC-recognized local or foreign university.
- Employment: Be a regular faculty member or researcher in a HEC-recognized public sector university or R&D organization.
- Placement: Must secure a placement letter from a QS Top 200 ranked university/institute.
- Work Experience: Age Limit: Maximum 45 years old on the closing date (October 30, 2025).
- Previous Fellowship: Applicants must not have availed any post-doctoral fellowship previously (funded or self-funded).
