• Duration: It lasts for a year, and you can renew it every year for up to four years. 
• To renew, just make sure you: 
  • Keep your GPA up 
  • Show your Chinese language skills 
  • Finish any required safety and security workshops. 

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Hua Yu Scholarship, you need to:

• Be an international undergraduate (this doesn't include overseas Chinese students)
• Provide proof of your Chinese language skills with one of these certifications:
  • Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) – Level B or higher
  • SPM or UEC (Malaysia) – Chinese Language Subject Level C or higher
  • Other similar Chinese proficiency tests, like ACTFL Intermediate High or higher, or TECC Grade C or higher.
