The Kazakhstan Government Scholarship is a fully funded initiative launched by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The program normally provides a substantial number of scholarships at various degree levels. For the school year 2025-2026, roughly 550 scholarships are available, allocated as follows:

  • Bachelor's Degree: 490 Scholarships
  • Master's Degree: 50 Scholarships
  • PhD Degree: Ten Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Non-Kazakhstani citizen, Pakistani nationals are eligible.
  • Academic Background:
    • Bachelor's: Secondary education degree with good scores.
    • Master's/PhD: Bachelor's/Master's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent).
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Required for Master's/PhD: IELTS (min 5.5), TOEFL iBT (min 46), or TOEFL PBT (min 453) in English, Russian, or Kazakh.
    • Exemption possible if previous education was entirely in English (or the language of instruction).
  • Health: Medical certificate confirming good health and absence of HIV/AIDS.

 

How to Apply

  • Online Application: Visit the official portal (https://studyin.kz/admission) or the Bolashak website.
  • Account Creation & Form Submission: Register, then meticulously fill out the online application in English, Russian, or Kazakh.
  • Document Preparation & Upload: Gather and upload all required scanned documents (notarized translations into English, Russian, or Kazakh are often necessary):
    • Passport/ID copy
    • Previous education degree/diploma & academic transcripts
    • Motivational essay
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Medical certificate (general health & HIV/AIDS free)
