Financial assistance can be an important component for aspiring artists and creative minds studying at the University of Auckland in pursuit of academic and artistic success. The Denise Gerard Scholarship is intended to do exactly that: assist students at the Elam School of Fine Arts in realizing their artistic ambitions without financial constraints.

About the Denise Gerard Scholarship

This award, established in 1997 via the generous legacy of the late Miss B. Denise Gerard, rewards students who demonstrate artistic promise, dedication, and financial need. Every year, up to five scholarships are offered, with each winner earning up to $5,000 to help with their studies.

Who is Eligible?

• Applicants enrolled in Parts II, III, or IV of the BFA or the BFA (Hons).
• Enrolled in a full-time course.
• Available to both domestic and international students.

Value of the Scholarship

Denise Gerard Scholarships 2024 provide students with up to NZD 5,000 annually. The Selection Committee will determine the number of scholarships to be awarded in each round based on the available funding.
