• New Student Status: The scholarship is only for new students; applicants must not be in their second trimester or year of study in the same degree program at the university. ​

This scholarship is not available to applicants who are:

• Completed secondary school in New Zealand. ​
• Completed the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies or English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. ​
• Students participating in Study Abroad, Exchange, or Twinning programs at the university's international partner institutions.
